mission statement >>
The mission of the Purcellville Skate Project is:

1) to provide a facility in which skateboarders and inline skaters may develop and practice their skills in an environment that is safe, accessible, and sanctioned; one that incorporates diverse terrain appropriate to varied skills.

2) to create an ecofriendly, centralized public plaza that promotes physical fitness, healthy independent recreation, fosters environmental stewardship and encourages community pride.

3) to educate the public, especially youth, by providing opportunities for outreach through enrichment programs such as skate classes, lessons and promotional events, by making a positive impact on the welfare of our youth, resulting in healthier self-esteem and the reinforcement of community values.
